Jojo suffered a heart attack hours after his visit to the Agoura Hills Animal Hospital. Justice 4 Jojo, who was our beautiful and loving Jack Russell Terrier. Jojo was a victim of Veterinary malpractice and negligence. His death is currently under investigation by the California State Veterinary Medical Board. We understand that animals like humans must die but what troubles us the most, is the way Jojo was treated at the hospital. Had the staff implemented the standard of veterinary care and given Jojo that fighting chance, we would have accepted it. Keith Berry is the owner of Agoura Hills Animal Hospital. After a 1+ year investigation, the California State VMB, found Keith Berry was dispensing dangerous drugs online without a license. Keith Berry was in violation of Title 16, California Code of Regulations, or a dangerous drug, as defined by Section 4022 & 4024. The public document also mentioned possible violation’s of Section 4037, 4051(a), 4110(a), 4111, 4855 and 4856. Keith Berry’s license was revoked for violating regulations adopted by the Board and for violating statutes of this 22 state regulating dangerous drugs or controlled substances. It was reinstated, however Berry had to pay over $12,000 in total fines and was given 5 years of probation. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Keith Berry continues to violate the state law (business and prof. 17500). His next victims, an Agoura Hills Resident and his Jack Russell Terrier, Jojo. The investigation can be found here.
